Growify your ploppables

Convert your plopped lots in SimCity 4 into fully functional ones.
No more zots. No more abandonment.

What is Growifier?

It is commonly known that if you plop a residential building in SimCity 4, it will soon get abandoned due to the residents not finding a job.

Growifier fixes this by modifying the .sc4 savegame and converting the plopped buildings as if they were grown. It works for plopped industrial buildings too!

How do I use it?

  • Pause the game and plop some residential or industrial buildings using the LotPlop cheat.
  • Save and exit to region.
  • Upload the .sc4 file above and follow the instructions.
  • Replace the city with the downloaded .sc4 file.
  • Open the city again.

How does it work?

Growifier is built on top of the knowledge of how to modify .sc4 savegames. It alters the binary structure of a savegame to trick the game into treating the plopped lots as normal, functional grown ones.

This cannot be done by a classical mod, and is the reason why you need to exit your city first before using Growifier.

Terms of Use

Usage

Growifier is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. More specifically, Growifier cannot be held liable for not working as intended, or corruption of the converted files. The user is responsible for having sufficient backups in case something goes wrong.

Although the tool has been tested thoroughly, bugs cannot be excluded. In case you have found a bug, please report it on Simtropolis.

File uploads

Growifier is a static website and growification happens entirely client-side. This means that any files processed by Growifier are not uploaded to any server and are only kept in memory as long as required to perform the specified actions.

A backup of the file that has been processed is available after the growification process. If you close the website or restart a growification operation, the backup cannot be recovered anymore. As mentioned above, the user is responsible for having sufficient backups in case something goes wrong.
